Raymond Becker began his career at the Jackson Police Department June 1, 1978 as a Patrolman.  He was transferred to the Traffic Division in June 1981.  In 1982, Officer Becker completed the first of several specialized traffic crash investigation courses culminating in his being certified as a Traffic Crash Reconstructionist in 1985.  He continued to serve in tis capacity in addition to other duties for the rest of his career.  

Officer Becker returned to the Patrol Division in August 1989 where he stayed until he was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division in June 1992.  Upon his completion of the Arson Investigator program at the National Fire Academy, Inv. Becker was assigned as an arson investigator.  Inv. Becker remained in CID until he retired in February 2004.  Investigator Becker received the Medal of Merit in June 2005 and several letters of appreciation and commendation.
