Jerry Neal Priddy was hired by the Jackson Police Department on April 16, 1975.  After Officer Priddy graduated from Tennesee Law Enforcement Training Academy and was assigned to the Patrol Division.

Officer Priddy served as a patrol officer in the Patrol Division until November 25, 1978 when he was transferred to the Traffic Division.  Officer Priddy was later promoted to the rank of Corporal on December 9, 1981.  Then on January 16, 1985 he was promoted from Corporal to Segerant  in the Traffic Division.  During his service in the Traffic Division,  Cpl. Priddy received training from Northwestern University Traffic Accident Institute and began serving as a Traffic Accident Reconsturctionist along with his other duties.

Then on July 1, 1989 Sgt. Priddy was tansferred from Traffic to the Criminal Investigation Division.  Sgt. Priddy was later promoted to Lieutenant on January 17, 1996 and served as the Unit Commander of  Violent Crimes and later Lieutenant Priddy was promoted to Captain on July 15, 1998 over the Criminal Investigation Division.  

During his tenure, Capt. Priddy was voted by his peer as "Employee of the Month" in July, 1992.  During his career Capt. Priddy received numerous letters of appreciation and commendations for his service to the community. Also during Capt. Priddy's career, he was afford numerous opportunities to attend educational training courses on a varity of topics.  

Captain Jerry Neal Priddy retired from the Jackson Police Department on June 28, 2008 with over 33 yrs. of service with the City of Jackson.
