Fred Leroy Rogers began his employment with the Jackson Police Department February 1952 as a police officer.  Then November 15, 1964, Officer Rogers was promoted to Desk Sergeant in the Patrol Division where he  was subsequently promoted to Lieutenant on May 14, 1971 then to Captain on February 15, 1979.

Captain Fred L. Rogers retired from the Jackson Police Department July 1979, serving the city for 27 years.
