Officer Jack Acuff started his career with the City of Jackson Jackson Police Department in 1955 as a Police Officer in the Patrol Division. He was promoted through the ranks and became a Desk Sergeant on May 15, 1961. Then Sgt. Acuff was transferred on April 1, 1969 as a sergeant in the Juvenile Division.  On September 1, 1970, Acuff was promoted to Lieutenant and was eventually promoted to Captain in 1974. Capt. Acuff received several letters of appreciation and commendation for his service to the community.

Captain Jack Acuff retired from the Jackson Police Department after serving over 37 years with the department.
