Capt. Jerry Truelove began his Law Enforcement Career in 1978.  He was a patrolman from 1978 until he was promoted to Corporal and transferred to Community Relations.  Truelove was promoted to Investigator and transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division in 1989 where he served until he was promoted to Sergeant in 1991 and went to the Support Services Department.  In 1996 Truelove was promoted to Lieutenant while still serving in Support Services.  

In 2008 he was promoted to Captain and transferred to the Patrol Division.  In 2011 Capt. Truelove was transferred to Administration in Crime Prevention where he served until he retired in 2013.

During Captain Truelove's thirty five year career as a law enforcement officer, he was nominated by his peers and received the Employee of the Month twice.  Once in September, 1994 and again in July, 2003.  He also received numerous letters of appreciation and commendation.
