Calvin Brooks began his career with the City of Jackson at the City Garage and on August 25, 1967 was promoted to a driver with Health and Sanitation until his position was abolished which resulted in Mr. Brooks being transferred to the  Jackson Police Department on July 1, 1976.  He was hired as the building maintenance attendant.   

Mr. Calvin Brook retired from the Jackson Police Department on 14th day of July 1989 after over 27 years service to the City of Jackson.
