Bobby Vernal Weinberg began his employment with the Jackson Police Department on December 16, 1970.  Once hired he was assigned to the Patrol Division as an Officer.  In June of 1971, Officer Bobby Weinberg completed the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy’s – Basic Police Recruit School in Donelson, Tennessee.   He received a Certificate of Compliance for his training. 
During his career, Officer Weinberg spent twenty-five years in the Patrol Division and retired on January 10, 1996.  Through the years he had received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation for his service with the City of Jackson. 

Prior to Patrol Officer Weinberg’s employment with the Jackson Police Department, he had served in the Army and was honorably discharged.
