Jimmy Allen Boggs began his service to the citizens of Jackson, TN on August 1, 1967.  During his tenure, he served as a City Court Clerk and Commander of the Records and Identification Division.  On the 14th day of May, 1971, Jimmy Boggs was was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and held this rank until his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant on the 16th of January, 1985.  During his assignment as Commander of the Records Division, Lt. Boggs supervised the transition of the records keeping system at the Jackson Police Department from a totally paper system to an AS 400 computer based system.  During his long career, he received letters of commendations and was selected as the Employee of the Month in January, 1998.  He meritoriusly served the Jackson Police Department  for more than 40 years.
