Lieutenant Edmond Cepparulo began his law enforcement career at the Jackson Police Department on July 16, 1973.   Within the first year of employment, Lt. Cepparulo attended and satisfactorily completed the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy - Basic Police Recruit School on June 14, 1974.  Upon completing the training academy and becoming a certified police officer he was assigned to the Patrol Division.  

On December 9, 1981, Cepparulo was promoted to the rank of Corporal as a front line Patrol Shift Supervisor.  Then in June 1982, the Jackson Police Department formed a full-time tactical unit and then Cpl. Cepparulo was transferred to the unit to be the acting Unit Commander due to his tactical training, experience as a Departmental Firearms Instructor and his ability made him a natural for this position.  While still over the Tactical Unit. Cpl. Cepparulo was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on December 17, 1986. 

Promoting out of the Tactical Unit on December 13, 1989, to the rank of Lieutenant, Edmond Cepparulo left behind a tradition of hard work, dedication and devotion to duty which he helped foster in the unit.  Lt. Cepparulo was then assigned as a Patrol Shift Commander and then later he was designated as a Patrol District Commander.  After being promoted the to rank of Lieutenant, Cepparulo was honored by being recommended by the Chief of Police Rick Staples as a candidate to attend the F.B.I. National Academy.  He was then selected to attend and graduated on December 14, 1990 in the 163rd Session of the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, VA.  Lt. Cepparulo was also selected by his peers as a Sectional Representative of the 163rd Session. 

In 2003, Lt. Cepparulo was reassigned as the Homeland Security Coordinator which was the position he held until his retirement June 16, 2006.  During his illustrious career, Lt. Edmond Cepparulo was voted Outstanding Young Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the Jackson Jaycees in 1983 and he was awarded the Jackson Police Department Medal of Merit twice - once in 1991 and again in 2007.  Lt. Cepparulo was also nominated and selected as Employee of the Month in September 2004. 

Lt. Cepparulo's broad expertise allowed him to train officers across the country in many facets of law enforcement.  During his exemplary career he has received numerouse letters of commendation and awards.  Edmond Cepparulo retired on June 16, 2006 from the Jackson Police Department at the rank of Lieutenant. 

After retirement, Cepparulo was hired as a contractor for the Department of Justice/ICITAP in Iraq.  He served as the lead instructor in Critical Incident Management at the Special Advanced Training Unit of the Baghdad Police College from May 2006 through May 2007.  During his service, Cepparulo recevied an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in International Police Studies from the Dean of the College.  Then from May 2007 until December 2007, Edmond served as the American Director of the Al Kut Joint Training Center, Camp Delta, Iraq.

After his mission in 2007, Edmond returned home until January 2009 when he returned to Iraq as a contractor again with the Department of Justice/ICITAP, serving as the Senior Management and Senior Training Advisor to the Commission of Integrity, and anti-corruption investigative entity of the Government of Iraq.  During his service, Cepparulo was presented a Certificate of Appreciation from the U. S. Ambassador to Iraq for work with the Commission of Integrity.
Edmond's mission ended April 2010 and he returned home.

Since returning home from Iraq, Edmond has obtained and works part-time as a licensed private investigator and an Adjunct Instructor for Bethel University in McKenzie, TN.
