Officer Joe Cepparulo bagan his career as a law enforcement officer with the Jackson Police Department on March 1, 1974.  During his first year of employment, Officer Cepparulo attended and completed the requirements of a certified police officer at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy and was later assigned to the Patrol Division.  

On December 9, 1981, Officer Joe Cepparulo was promoted to the rank of Corporal and continued to work as a front line supervisor in the Patrol Division until he was chosen as a member of the Motorcycle Unit.  Corporal Cepparulo work as a Motor Officer until June 9, 1991 when he was transferred to the Criminal Investigative Division as an Investigator in the Preliminary Investigation Activity Unit.  Investigator Cepparulo work in P.I.A. until his retirement on June 26, 2010.  

During Investigator Cepparulo's career he received numerous letters of personal commendation and was Employee of the Month in April 1996 and again in October 2005.  Both nominations described Investigator Cepparulo as professional, dependable and helpful to others.  He was a State of Tennessee certified instructor of Hunter Safety classes as well as Motorcycle Safety classes.

Investigator Cepparulo is an active member of his church and a devoted husband to his wife of 47 years,  Mary.  He has a son, Thomas J. Cepparulo and three grandchildren.   

Investigator Joe Cepparulo retired from the Jackson Police Department on June 26, 2010.  He retired at the rank of I4.
