Mrs. Julia Gauthia began employment with the Jackson Police Department on April 14, 1997.  During her career, she worked as a PBX Operator, Sr. Data Entry Operator and finally as an Administrative Specialist.

As a native of New Orleans, Mrs. Gauthia loved to speaking about their cuisine and preparing it for her family and friends.  She was muilti-talented and had many varied interests.  She was well-liked by her peers.

Mrs. Gauthia received the Employee of the Month recognition in June of 2003.  She retired from the Police Department on January 10, 2014.
