Paul Dickson White began his law enforcement career on September 16, 1981.  He worked as a patrolman in the Patrol and Traffic Divisions before being promoted to Investigator and transferred to the Metro Narcotics Unit in November, 1988.  The following year, he was transferred to the Criminal investigation Division where he remained until his retirement.

Investigator White atended numerous seminars and training involving narcotics, arson and auto theft investigations.  He is a graduate of the Tennessee Basic Police Academy and the Fire Training Academy.

In 1996, Investigator White was recognized as the "Officer of the Year" by the Charles L. Wooten Lodge #7.  He was also selected as Employee of the Month in October 1988 by this same organization.

Investigator White served the City of Jackson and it's citizen with pride and dignity as evidenced by the numerous letters of commendations he received during his tenure.
