William Thomas Parrish began his career with the Jackson Police Department on December 19, 1943. He was a patrol officer assigned to the Patrol Division.  Officer Parrish was promoted to Desk Sergeant in 1956 and then on August 23, 1963 Parrish was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.  

Lt. William Thomas Parrish retired from the Jackson Police Department on September 1, 1963 after nearly 20 years of service with the department.
