Raymond Gerald Eason was hired on the Jackson Police Department on April 16, 1965 and was assigned to the Traffic Division as a Patrolman.  Seven years later he was promoted to Sergeant on May 01, 1972.  After working another twenty-one years as Traffic Division Sergeant, Sgt. Gerald Eason retired on July 06, 1993 with a combined total of twenty-eight years of service.

Prior to Gerald Eason’s employment with the City of Jackson’s Police Department, he served our country in the U.S. Army from December 14, 1961 to December 06, 1963.  He was honorably discharged from his service.

During Sgt. Eason’s employment with the Police Department he received numerous Letters of Commendation and Certificates of Training for his dedication and professionalism he demonstrated over these twenty-eight years of service.
