Larry Lee Freeman was employed on two occasions with the Jackson Police Department. He first came to the Jackson Police Department on February 01, 1968 and worked until May 01, 1969. He chose to leave and accept employment with Owens Corning Fiberglass as a Security Guard.
Larry Freeman decided five months later that he wanted to again be part of the Law Enforcement community and re-applied to become an officer of the law for a second time on October 15, 1969 and upon rehire he was assigned as a Traffic Patrolman. On August 23, 1989 Patrolman Larry Freeman transferred from the Traffic Division to the Patrol Division and approximately six years later he was promoted to Patrol Division Sergeant on January 17, 1996.
After 30 years of service to the Jackson Police Department, Patrol Sergeant Larry Freeman ended his career and on January 11, 2000 he officially retired.
Larry Freeman also served our county with his service in the Tennessee National Guard. During his career with the Jackson Police Department, Patrol Sergeant Freeman received numerous Letters of Commendation and various Certificates of Training for his employment therein.
