Kenneth Michael Jordan began his law enforcement career on August 1st 1981.  After graduating from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy, Officer Jordan was assigned to the Patrol Division.     Offficer Jordan was a Field Training Officer in addition to the regular duties of a patrol officer.  He was responsible for helping new recruits adjust and learn how to be police officers.  

Officer Jordan was later assigned to the Traffic Division and received specialized training in traffic crash reconstruction before being transferred to manage the Jackson Police Departments’ fleet of vehicles in 1992.  While assigned to this administrative function Kenneth Michael Jordan was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on March 2002. 

During his nearly thirty-year career, Sergeant Jordan received several letters of appreciation and commendation regarding his assistance in the community. He also attended various educational courses and was also named Employee of the Month for March 1995. 

Sergeant Kenneth Michael Jordan retired from the Jackson Police Department June 10, 2010.
