Charles A. Brinkley began his employment with the Jackson Police Department on the 16th day of August 1957.  He was hired as a patrol officer assigned to the Patrol Division.

Then on May 14, 1971, Officer Brinkley was promoted to Desk Sergeant in Booking.  Then somewhere around 1984, Sgt. Brinkley was transferred to Property and Evidence where he remained until he retired.  

During his career, Sgt. Brinkley received letters of appreciation and recommendation for his service to the community.

Sgt. Charles A. Brinkley retired from the Jackson Police Department on July 11, 1989 after serving over 31 years with the department.
