Betty Carol Jarrett  was hired in as a Patrolwoman with Jackson Police Department on August 22, 1983.  She resigned on October 21, 1986 after 3 yrs 6 mos. employment.  

Carol Jarrett returned and was rehired on November 30, 1988 as a patrol officer.  She was assigned to the Patrol Division.    

Officer Jarrett later transferred to the Crime Prevention Unit. Officer Jarrett was afforded the opportunity to attend several educational courses during that time which included the TN Law Enforcement Academy and Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute. Officer Jarrett was an Instructor of the Citizen Police Acadamy.

Officer Jarrett received several letters of appreciation and commendation for her service to the community.  She was voted Employee of the Month  in November, 1997. She retired from Jackson Police Department on June 17, 1998 with  9 years, 7 months of continued service.
