Lowell Poston Morris was hired with the Jackson Police Department on May 16, 1966 and was assigned to the Patrol Division.  Within nine years then Patrolman Morris was promoted to the rank of Sergeant as of October 15, 1975.  He remained as a Sergeant for seven years and received a promotion as Lieutenant for the Patrol Division on March 17, 1982.

On April 07, 1993 Lieutenant Morris retired from the Jackson Police Department after twenty-seven years of service.

Prior to Lowell P. Morris being employed with the City of Jackson’s Police Department he served our country in the Navy and was honorably discharged.

While with the Police Department, Lt. Morris had received numerous Letters of Commendation and Certificates of Training for his dedication and professionalism that was displayed throughout his career.
