Norman H. Pipkin began his career with the Jackson Police Department July 1964 as a Patrol Officer.  He was later transferred to the Criminal Division where he stayed until his retirement, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant.  He served 8 years in the United States Air Force before joining the Police Department.  He has several letters of appreciation for his service in the community.

Lieutenant Pipkin retired from the Jackson Police Department September 1989, with 25 years of service.
